Reservations and check-in take place through the Recreation Lodging Office, located on Lincoln Drive across from the CDC.

FAQ

Can pets be left unattended in my room?

All none caged pets must be crated to prevent damages to property. For example, a cat or dog must be crated if left unattended.

Is Cedar Lodge a full-service lodge/hotel?

No, Cedar Lodge is not a full-service hotel. We do not have room service and operate on a self-service platform for replenishment. Guests can always call our office for assistance during normal working hours.

Where do I check-in at and get my keys to my room?

Whether checking-in during working hours and after-hours our guests must come to our office located at building 8000, at 3025 Lincoln Dr. If arriving after-hours, we will leave a welcome aboard package in our breezeway to our office. See map for specific location in reference to Cedar Lodge.

Can I cook in my room?

Cooking is limited to what can be done with the provided microwave. Hotplates and/or air fryers are prohibited from being used in the rooms. We have a common kitchen on our first floor that offers a stove and oven for your use.

Do you have an elevator to reach your second floor?

We do not have an elevator. If you are unable to negotiate stairs, please feel free to let us know when your making your reservations. We will make every effort to place you in a first-floor room if available.

Are your rooms wheelchair accessible?

Although our rooms are not ADA compliant. All of our rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Do you have a laundry room?

Yes, Cedar Lodge has a laundry room for our guests. Our machines are free, and there is a coin operation laundry detergent machine available.

Are there places to eat on base?

There are a few establishments on base for fast food at the exchange and bowling alley. The DFAC or dining facility does serve 3 meals a day and everyone is welcome to utilize it. They even have a la carte meals available. The base is 10-15 minute from Rapid City where you will find many local and chain restaurants to frequent that serve good food!
